Composting large quantities of garden waste in a temporary bin

For most of us, most of the time, I’m a strong believer in three plastic black bins being the ideal solution for composting garden and kitchen waste. When I have a large quantity of waste to compost I use a temporary ‘bin’. This one is three pallets nailed together and covered with a tarpaulin. It’s not attached to the ground so when I turn the compost I can lift it off and get easy access. The trailer full of agapanthus trimmings was about a third of the volume after three weeks so I turned it into a big green bin. I’ll leave it to decompose for another few months now. Or I could have taken it all to the green waste tip.
