I’d enjoyed The Year of Living Biblically from AJ Jacobs and so found his more recent Drop Dead Healthy immensely appealing. Laugh-out-loud funny at times, I liked AJ’s turn of phrase, neuroses and self-deprecating humour. His quest to investigate the elements of a healthy life were interwoven with stories from his family and his visits to his aging grandfather and eccentric aunt. The rigour of his investigations dosed with healthy scepticism made for a charming read. I liked AJ Jacobs and I liked his wife, Julie, even more.
