New fresh food garden course dates – Friday afternoon and Tuesday evening options

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Here’s the schedule for fresh food garden courses for the rest of the year. Get a group of friends together for the course and start a gardening group to share seeds, equipment and experience. Book and pay on line by credit card, paypal or direct credit. I’ll send a card if you’d like to buy a place on a course as a gift.

This Saturday 30 October 2010 12 noon – 5.30pm $120

Friday 12 November 2010 1pm – 5.30pm $95

Saturday 20 November 2010 12 noon – 5.30pm $120

Tuesday 23 and 30 November 2010 (two evenings) 6pm – 8.30pm $95

All courses include comprehensive notes to take away. Saturday courses include lunch. Friday afternoon and Tuesday evening options will only have tea and coffee provided, so bring something with you to eat if you’re inclined to get hungry in the great outdoors.

Spring seems an appropriate time to introduce the new addition adopted to our household, Jim bunny. Our dexter heifers are shortly off to pastures new.

If you’ve ever wanted to improve your confidence speaking in public, try a visit to Capital Breakfast Toastmasters in Grey Street, Wellington. You have to be a morning person as their meetings are 7am – 8.15am but Toastmasters uses a proven international formula for helping everyone be more at ease speaking to groups of two or two thousand.  If you’ve just got a promotion, been tasked with speaking at your brother’s wedding or want to start a training business, go along on Thursday 28 October at 7am (or any other Thursday morning) and see if it will work for you.

Meet Rachel

I'm an enthusiastic gardener who loves eating things I've grown. Initally I grew and sold boxes of homegrown produce. When I couldn't satisfy the demand, I started teaching my customers how to grow their own. I teach, write, sew and cook. I'm also catching up on learning to play piano. More...
