Salad and herbs in small spaces Sunday 3 November 2019 3 – 4pm

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Growing our own salad and herbs in a small space gives us the biggest reward for our time and effort in the garden. By focussing on what is best fresh and what costs the most to buy, we get the satisfaction of eating homegrown every day. Small can mean selective, succulent and successful. There’s lots to learn and lots to like about gardening this way.

Starting small
Growing close to your kitchen
Watering easily
Choosing herbs and leaves we like
What to grow each season
Do I start with seeds or seedlings?

A Sustainable Backyards ‘bite-sized’ workshop. 90 minutes of inspiration to get your garden growing. Although these workshops are free thanks to sponsorship from Hastings District Council, please register via Eventfinda to secure your place, but only if you are definitely going to attend. Numbers are limited, no door sales.

Held at The Environment Centre Hawke’s Bay, 1004 Karamu Road, Hastings.
