I grew soy beans from seeds I saved last year so now I have my own edamame. They looked so hairy I didn’t think they’d be edible but they’re delicious. Frozen them in a huge sack as they were so prolific and they taste just as good cooked from frozen as fresh. These were ‘Lammer’s Black’ from Koanga Gardens.

It’s time to sow seeds for your winter garden. Here’s my list this year (carrots, radish, turnips and spinach in the ground, everything else in pots), I’m sure I’ll be distracted by more.

Meet Rachel
